AutoShorts.ai Review (2026): Is It Worth It for Faceless Videos?

AutoShorts.ai review (2026): faceless Series autopilot, $19 Starter pricing, paused free plan, 90-second cap, and who should skip it. No hands-on generation tests.

By Moon PickePublished Oct 5, 2026Our review process

This AutoShorts AI review answers whether AutoShorts.ai is worth paying for if you want to create and automate faceless short-form videos. AutoShorts is sold as a Series autopilot: topic or custom prompt in, scheduled unique videos out, with paid auto-post. Moon Picke has not run hands-on generation tests. Notes follow the live homepage, FAQ, Terms, Privacy, and Google API disclosure, checked on 5 October 2026. Official /pricing returned 404; plan cards sit on the homepage and can change.

Quick verdict

AutoShorts.ai is a faceless short-form automation product, not a cinematic text-to-video model like Sora or Veo. Official copy positions it as creating, scheduling, and posting faceless videos on auto-pilot, customized to a topic. Paid plans start at $19/month for Starter (posts three times a week, 1 Series, 27 motion credits, HD, no watermark, auto-post, voice cloning). Daily is $39 (once a day, 62 motion credits). Hardcore is $69 (twice a day, 124 motion credits). Yearly counterparts in official plan data are billed at $190 / $390 / $690 per year with a “2 months free” badge—not a cheaper month-to-month rate. A $0 Free card exists (1 video, 1 Series, 0 motion credits) but is marked Temporarily paused; the FAQ also says the free plan is suspended for botting. Biggest advantage: one Series that generates and can auto-post to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram at a low paid floor. Biggest limitation: every plan is 1 Series, videos cap at 90 seconds, still images are the default visual system, and refunds are refused. Buy if you want a frequency-priced faceless Shorts/Reels/TikTok cadence. Skip if you need long-form, multiple niches on one seat, a timeline editor, or a working free test right now.

What is AutoShorts.ai?

AutoShorts.ai is a web app that automatically creates, schedules, and posts faceless videos, according to the site footer and homepage. The title tags it as a faceless video generator for TikTok and YouTube. Meta description copy also names growing TikTok and YouTube channels. That is short-form channel automation, not a prompt-to-cinematic-frame studio.

A Series is the unit of work. The FAQ defines a Series as an automation setup that creates and uploads AI videos on a schedule (daily or weekly). Each Series runs continuously from a chosen topic and settings. Example in the FAQ: a “Scary Stories” Series that posts to TikTok and YouTube every day at 9PM EST. AutoShorts explicitly says it was not designed for single-video creation. You create a Series first; the first video is queued automatically.

“Faceless” here means the output is a topic-driven short that does not require you on camera. It does not mean effortless passive income. Official marketing still says “get views and grow while you sleep.” Moon Picke treats that as sales language. The same FAQ warns that new accounts can look like bots, get suppressed, and may need warming, slower posting, and preview-before-publish. Using AutoShorts does not determine YouTube Partner Program status, TikTok eligibility, or revenue.

How AutoShorts.ai works

According to the homepage “How does it work?” section, the public flow is three steps.

Step 1 — Create a Series. Choose a topic from a preset list or write a custom prompt. Official copy says AI begins crafting the first unique video immediately. The marketing UI shown on the homepage includes Destination (the account where the Series will be posted) and Content (the Series topic).

Step 2 — Preview and Customize. Review the AI-generated video before it is posted. Official copy lists edits to script, title, images, or background music. The FAQ’s edit list is narrower: script, title, and background music anytime before the scheduled post. Features that re-render after script edits or Series changes “do not count against your plan,” according to the FAQ.

Step 3 — Watch Your Channel Grow. Edit the posting schedule, connect channels, and let AutoShorts create and post. Homepage step 3 shows TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram icons. The FAQ independently lists those three as supported posting destinations.

How AutoShorts recurring Series work

Recurring Series are the product, not an add-on. FAQ facts that matter for buyers:

  • A Series generates new videos from topic and settings on a schedule.
  • Each Series can link to one TikTok, one YouTube, and one Instagram channel.
  • You can delete a Series and start another (up to 10 times per day). Free plan: one Series per account (while that plan exists).
  • Every homepage paid card, and official plan JSON, sets maxSeries: 1. Hardcore at $69 is still one Series. A second niche or second channel set means another subscription, which the unanswered “Can I have multiple plans?” FAQ does not confirm.
  • Custom prompts behave like standing instructions: each video follows the prompt while avoiding duplicating prior videos in the same Series. The FAQ compares this to asking ChatGPT for a new script each time. AutoShorts also links a custom-prompt guide from the FAQ.

Do not read Series automation as a set-and-forget business. Review scripts for facts, pronunciation, visuals, music, and platform rules before you let a queue fire, especially on a new account. AutoShorts’ own FAQ says brand-new channels should not post more than once per day, should warm accounts, and should preview videos.

Official AutoShorts FAQ answer defining a Series as scheduled automation posting to TikTok YouTube Instagram
Official capture, 5 October 2026: FAQ — What is a Series?

Script generation

Scripts are generated. Official uniqueness copy: unlike services that reuse the same video, AutoShorts creates a new video for each Series item with generative AI, so even two videos on the same topic get different scripts and images. Custom prompts can lock a repeating format (“interesting fact about Genghis Khan”) or a category that changes event-by-event (“interesting war history”). You can edit the script before the scheduled post. Length: Series setup offers “30 to 60 seconds” or “60 to 90 seconds”; finer control is by editing the script up to 1,600 characters. Moon Picke did not grade script quality.

AI voices

Paid homepage cards list Voice Cloning as included, with the same checkmark pattern as HD and no watermark. The FAQ language list is long: English, Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian. Voice vendor, clone sample length, and per-clip voice picker are NOT LISTED on public pages. This review does not call the voices studio-quality or indistinguishable from humans.

Visuals and video creation

Default visuals are still images per scene, according to the motion-credits FAQ. Image credits buy replacement generations when a still is wrong; they refill on a 30-day rolling basis, and you can buy more. Motion credits animate those stills. You set how many motion credits a Series may spend per video, or apply motion in the media editor. Credits reset each billing cycle; “top off” credits that never expire can be bought from billing, with optional auto-reload. Homepage motion allotments: Free 0, Starter 27, Daily 62, Hardcore 124.

That is assembled short-form video: script + voice + stills + optional motion + music. It is not a documented pipeline through a named third-party video model (no Sora, Veo, Kling, or Runway on the pages checked). Do not shop AutoShorts as a frame-by-frame cinematic generator.

Official homepage examples show style chips such as AutoShorts, AutoShorts V2, Children’s Book, UGC Hook, Lego, Disney Toon, Expressionism, Minecraft, GTAV, and Comic Book. Those are marketing samples on the public site, not Moon Picke exports.

Captions, music, and editing

Captions: NOT LISTED as a controllable feature on the homepage or FAQ edit list. Official sample videos on the homepage include on-screen text. Treat caption style, burn-in, and language of captions as NOT VERIFIED.

Music: Background music is a paid-card inclusion and an editable field before post. The FAQ states uploaded music stops at 60 seconds because TikTok does not currently allow uploaded music longer than one minute, or the video may be muted or taken down. This review does not describe that library as copyright-free, royalty-free, or monetization-safe; licensing language at that specificity is not on the pages checked.

Editing is preview-and-tweak, not a public promise of a multitrack NLE. Homepage: script, title, images, background music. FAQ: script, title, background music. Re-renders from those edits do not consume the plan’s post frequency, per FAQ.

Scheduling and auto-posting

Frequency is the paid SKU. Starter posts three times a week. Daily posts once a day. Hardcore posts twice a day. Official JSON uses frequency 3 / 7 / 14 against those labels. Auto-post to channel is checked on paid cards and marked unavailable on the paused Free card.

YouTube: Privacy and Google API pages say AutoShorts uses Google APIs to sign in and to upload rendered videos to YouTube via an in-app API. Users agree to YouTube Terms and Google Privacy Policy. That is direct publishing of rendered shorts-length files, not a documented “regular long YouTube upload” path. Long-form is separately “not at the moment.”

TikTok: FAQ lists TikTok as a posting destination. Privacy links TikTok Terms of Service. Creating vertical shorts is not the same sentence as TikTok posting; here the FAQ does name posting to TikTok. Music length is constrained by TikTok’s one-minute upload-music rule.

Instagram: FAQ lists Instagram posting. Reels-format vs feed is NOT LISTED. Do not infer Instagram Stories or long Reels beyond the 90-second product cap.

Each Series: one channel per platform. “Publishes everywhere” is not an official claim and is not used here.

Is AutoShorts good for faceless videos?

For faceless short-form, AutoShorts matches the job on paper: topic-driven Series, generated script and stills, voice cloning on paid plans, scheduling, and auto-post to the three short-form networks the FAQ names. Faceless means you are not the on-camera talent. You still choose the niche, write or accept the prompt, preview, and live with platform risk.

It is a weak fit if “faceless” for you means long documentary voiceover, UGC ads with a product SKU, or avatar presenters. Those are other products. AutoShorts’ own long-form FAQ: not currently available; focus is short-form up to 90 seconds.

Aspect ratios (9:16, 16:9, 1:1) are NOT LISTED on the pages checked. Do not infer ratio from screenshots. HD is listed; 1080p/4K is NOT LISTED as a number.

AutoShorts.ai pricing in 2026

Pricing and plan limits were checked on 5 October 2026 and may change. Check AutoShorts’ current homepage pricing before purchasing. There is no working /pricing path (404). Cards below are the homepage table, cross-checked against official page JSON.

PlanPriceVideo / credit allowanceKey featuresBest forMain limit

Hardcore$69/month. Yearly billed $690/yearPosts twice a day; 124 motion creditsSame feature set, max listed frequencyOne Series, high frequency1 Series. Not more features

Monthly billing: YES ($19 / $39 / $69). Annual billing: YES in official plan objects ($190 / $390 / $690) and a homepage “2 months free” yearly badge. $190 is 10 × $19, so yearly is two months free on that math—not a $15.83 month-to-month SKU. Write yearly as “$X/month equivalent, billed annually at $Y” only as a Moon Picke reading of those yearly totals: about $15.83 / $32.50 / $57.50 per month equivalent, billed annually.

Free plan vs trial vs credits: the Free card is a one-video plan, not a 7-day trial and not a credit pack. Hero CTA still says “Try AutoShorts.ai for Free (No credit card required)” while the Free card and FAQ say the path is paused. Treat live free access as inconsistent / paused, not as a reliable forever free plan.

Image-credit counts are NOT printed on the four cards. Motion credits are. Watermark: paid no watermark; Free card and JSON treat watermark as on. Membership FAQ: paid plans remove the watermark and allow more frequent posting.

How AutoShorts plan limits work

Limits are cadence plus one Series plus motion credits, not a hidden feature ladder. Hardcore does not unlock a second Series, long-form, or a named API on public pages. Script edits that re-render do not count against post frequency. Downloads last 120 days. NSFW filtering exists but is not guaranteed. AutoShorts is not responsible for created content (FAQ and Terms).

Moon Picke cost-per-video (calculation, not an official metric). Assumptions: Starter fires 3 posts/week ≈ 13 posts per 30 days; Daily ≈ 30; Hardcore ≈ 60. Then $19/13 ≈ $1.46, $39/30 = $1.30, $69/60 = $1.15 per comparable included post, before extra image/motion top-offs. If a Series misses posts or you buy credits, the number moves. Do not treat this as a universal cost per finished video.

Which plan makes sense?

Beginner / testing: A working Free video would be the honest test. It is paused. Starter at $19/month is the listed paid floor, with refunds refused, so the first month is a non-refundable experiment.

One active Series, modest cadence: Starter (3×/week) if the FAQ’s new-account warning matters more than volume.

One Series, daily: Daily at $39.

Higher-volume on one Series: Hardcore at $69 buys frequency and motion credits, not a second channel. This review does not auto-recommend Hardcore.

  • Short-form only, 90 seconds max.

AutoShorts vs building Shorts manually

Manual Shorts mean you ideate, write, record or license voice, source B-roll, caption, mix, export, then schedule in each app. AutoShorts collapses ideation-to-post into a Series, at the cost of control: you are steering a prompt and a preview list, not a timeline. The FAQ still pushes human review and account warming. Moon Picke did not time either workflow. The trade-off is automation versus control, not a promised hour count.

AutoShorts vs StoryShort: what’s the difference?

Live on 5 October 2026, both sell faceless short-form, but they meter different things. AutoShorts sells one Series and a posting frequency ($19 / $39 / $69 a month; yearly billed $190 / $390 / $690). StoryShort sells credit bundles and up to four Series on higher plans; monthly Starter is $39 (400 credits), with yearly Starter billed $279 ($23/month equivalent). AutoShorts FAQ caps length at 90 seconds. StoryShort’s public site lists long-form (10–30 minutes) and UGC as product types, with long-form and UGC marked not in plan on Starter/Growth credit rows. AutoShorts stills-plus-motion is a narrower visual story than StoryShort’s model-named generation pages. Publishing: AutoShorts FAQ names TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram auto-post on paid cards; StoryShort also markets auto-post, with Series counts that scale by plan. Best-fit sketch: AutoShorts if you want one niche on a cheap cadence meter; StoryShort if you need credit-based generation and a broader format menu—and you accept a higher Starter floor. A longer head-to-head lives in Moon Picke’s published AutoShorts vs StoryShort comparison; this review stays on AutoShorts. For StoryShort’s own plan math, see the StoryShort AI review.

Who should use AutoShorts?

Faceless short-form creators who want one recurring Series. Operators who care more about TikTok / YouTube Shorts-length / Instagram posting than about cinematic models. Small setups that will preview before auto-post and can live with one niche per subscription. People who prefer a $19 cadence SKU to a $39 credit SKU.

Who should skip AutoShorts?

Professional editors who need a timeline. Cinematic text-to-video shoppers. AI UGC advertisers who need product-in-hand ads. Long-form-first channels. Anyone who needs two niches or two YouTube channels on one seat. Buyers who require a working free test or a refund window. Very low-volume creators who only need a handful of one-off clips—the FAQ says the product is not for single-video creation.

FAQ

What is AutoShorts.ai? A faceless short-form Series tool that generates, schedules, and can auto-post to TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Does it support TikTok and Instagram? FAQ names posting to all three. One channel each per Series.

Final verdict: is AutoShorts worth it?

AutoShorts makes most sense if you want one faceless short-form Series that generates and can auto-post on a published cadence, and $19/month Starter is an acceptable non-refundable start. It becomes less compelling if you need two niches, long-form, cinematic models, deep editing, or a free test that actually works this week. Its strongest advantage is the Series meter: frequency in, posts out, with TikTok/YouTube/Instagram named. Its biggest trade-off is sameness of features across paid tiers plus a hard 1-Series / 90-second box. At its current price, Starter is the rational first paid seat; Daily and Hardcore only buy more posts and motion credits on that same Series. If you prioritize credit-based generation and extra formats, consider StoryShort. If you want a documented forever-free look at script-to-video, consider Fliki.
